49th ENGINEER’S DAY CELEBRATED AT CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

Christian College of Engineering and Technology (CCET), Bhilai celebrated the 49th Engineers’ Day to mark the 156th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. On this occasion various departments of CCET organized many motivational and educational programs such as workshop on line follower robot by Central Robotics Lab, group discussion on Role of engineers in developing India by Training and Placement Office and Quiz competition by the Technoclub. On 15th September, 2017 the denizens of CCET celebrated the achievements of every engineer of the world by an inspirational program at the college auditorium. The program started with a welcome speech by the principal, Dr Dipali Soren. In her speech, she motivated the gathering to dedicate their lives to simultaneously achieve personal and social goals, by underlining the accomplishments of Sir M Visvesvaraya. She said that engineers are the heralds of resurgent India and the driving force behind any technological age. Thereafter a motivational speech on engineer’s day was delivered by Ms Aacsha of 3rd SEM, Mech Dept. The Technoclub of CCET under the tutelage of Mr Ankur Malviya, Assistant Professor of Mechanical dept and Mr Pramod Baghmar, Assistant Professor, Electrical Dept organized the final round of the quiz competition. This rapid fire round was won by Mr Nino S John, 7th (B) Sem, Mechanical Dept., the second prize was awarded to Mr Anil Kushwaha, 5th Electrical dept and third prize was given to Mr Shubham Chaurasiya, 5th Sem Electrical dept. The Training and Placement Office of CCET under the guidance of the TPO, Mr S P Mathew, held the final round of Group Discussion for final students of all depts. The judges of this event were Fr Jose K Varghese, EVC, Dr Sudha Singh, Chief Librarian and Mr Suresh P Mathew.  K. Shilpa of 7th Sem CSE won the first prize and Neeraj Kumar Chandani of 7th Sem Electrical won the 2nd prize for the Group Discussion. To share the overflowing joy and enthusiasm of the gathering a quiz was organized for them followed by the award ceremony for winners of various competitions. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Ankur Malviya and the anchor of the event was Ms Disha of 3rd Sem, CSE dept. Executive Vice Chairman, Fr Jose K Varghese joined by Dr Dipali Soren and all the Head of departments of CCET conveyed their joy and warm wishes to staff and students for Engineers Day and congratulated the coordinators as well as participants of each and every event.
