(3) ATTENDANCE

1. Students in their own interest are required to attend all the theory and practical. No relaxation is given for attendance less than 100% . Shortage of attendance will directly reflect the overall score in their internal assessments and there by resulting in poor SESSIONAL MARKS. It is imperative that in our academic system a student EARNS the SESSIONAL MARKS for himself / herself and is thus not GIVEN by the department / college.

2. Leave other than vacation is granted to the students during the college session. Parents and Guardians are requested not to encourage their wards to take leave from the institute.

(1) PEDAGOGY

We follow the six monthly semester system. In addition to the lecture and tutorial classes, there are projects, case studies, seminars, field visits, educational tours etc, Training in industries are also arranged. Apart from the university examinations, college examinations are also held periodically which is intimated to the parents along with the progress report of students at least once in a Semester. A closely knit "Teacher Guardian Relationship" exists in the college where every student is assigned one teacher as his / her GUARDIAN throughout his / her stay in this college for four years. Parents are requested to keep a close co-ordination with the respective TEACHER-GUARDIAN to know the well being and the status of their wards. Medium of instruction is English.
Academic activities are designed and monitored in academic section based on the academic planning done by academic advisory body and the college senate. An academic calendar thus formed is forwarded to respective departments by the Chairman of academic advisory body (Director) for onward preparation of department academic calendar. The academic section (which comprises of one full time Asstt. Prof. and four full time staff) has a  CONTINUOUS EVALUATION SYSTEM for students which closely monitors the daily period wise activities of every class for onward computation of student performance with regard to attendance, class test, and G.P./ seminars etc. This data is available to students on regular basis over Intranet Terminals. Thus a student knows how many sessional marks he may earn towards end of semester or even the final sessional marks towards end of semester. These data thus compiled, also shows various statistics like number of periods taken by a lecturer in any semester, or absenteeism of students etc. Such analysis is forwarded to the Director to be taken up during regular H.O.D. meetings or academic advisory body meetings as the case may be. At the same time if a student has any query regarding the above the same can be clarified from teacher guardian. Students Feed back form is already in practice for faculty performance which is monitored by the H.O.D.?s. with copies to the Director for Corrective action as may be deemed fit and / or yearly assessment of faculty member.
