About The Department
The Department of Training & Placement was established as a separate entity in the year 2002. The Department started its activities in a humble way providing quality placement services to the students of the Institution.
The Department is equipped with all the required facilities for the conduction of the recruitment process such as seminar hall for company presentations, group discussions, conferencing facilities, interview and Discussion rooms to provide the complete autonomy and convenience for executives to conduct fair and transparent talent search to recruit good quality engineers for positions in organizations.
Some unique achievements of MPCCET Training & Placement Cell
- Competency Enhancement Training Programme (CETP):
Live Projects:
To bridge the gap between the industry and the institution, Live Projects for the final year students of various branches were arranged. Students were allowed to take up a project of relevance in consultation with Bhilai Steel Plant.
Competency Enhancement Training Programme (CETP):
To increase marketability of students by making them competent as per the job scenario, an intensive training program has been formulated. The following are the salient features of this program: -
- Each student under goes a weekly 1 hour workshop.
- Six Engineering Associations namely Mechanical, IT, Electronics & Telecom, Electrical, Computer Sc. & 1st Year are formed.
- The program is conducted under the banner of respective Engg. Association.
- Out side experts / faculty are invited.
CETP helps the students in the following:
- Improving Proficiency in English
- Locating the Hidden Talents and give platforms for performance.
- Introducing Activities as in established Engineering Institutions.
- Facilitating an atmosphere of competitive edge.

Department Long Term Goals
- To organize campus interviews for final year students with industries and business houses of repute from all over India.
- To develop the Department of Training & Placement as a single window nodal point for career counseling and Higher learning in Engineering & Technology fields.
- To set up the Training Infrastructure for conducting value added training programs and enhance the employability of students.
- To institute the best practices in conducting and coordinating the campus placement process for the industries in the institution.
Department Short Term Goals
- To arrange Industrial visit and In-Plant training.
- To prepare students to face campus interviews by arranging training in Aptitude tests, group discussions, preparing for Technical and HR interviews through professional trainers.
Training
Training is an opportunity for the students to experience the acquired technical knowledge in real life situations. The T&P has assisted the students in under going training in reputed organizations like BARC, SAIL, Indian Railways, NTPC, CSEB, SECL, AIR, Sterlite, NECO etc.
