Christian College and Engineering & Technology (CCET), Bhilai has been a bastion of ethically and morally sound technical education in sync with current industrial innovations, to create responsible engineers for nation building. For this a guest lecture on “Value and Ethical Education” was organized by the Women’s Cell of CCET under the aegis of its coordinator Dr Sudha Singh at the college auditorium in the presence of departmental HODs, faculties and students. The Guest Speaker was Ms Prachi Behenji, Prajapati Brahma Kumari, Sector-7, Bhilai. The aim of this program was to inculcate a strong sense of self in young technocrats by developing all aspects if human intelligence. In her speech Ms Prachi Behenji said that ethical education is the foundation over which democracy and society can thrive. She expressed her concern over modern information based education which solely focuses on intelligence yet neglects physical, mental, social, spiritual and emotional development. She motivated the gathering by highlighting the importance of good behavior, government-citizen responsibility, nationalism, patriotism and communal unity. She urged the gathering to take life decisions based on one’s moral code. She emphasized the power of positive thinking in one’s life as positive thinking leads to positive emotions and positive emotions leads to positive deeds. The Vote of thanks was given by Mrs Archana Choudhary, Associate Professor, CSE dept. The Executive Vice Chairman, Fr Jose K Varghese and the Principal, Dr Dipali Soren along with CCET management expressed their gratitude Ms Prachi Behenji and Prajapati Brahma Kumari for imparting this valuable lesson to young technocrats. They also congratulated Women Cell of CCET for time and again organizing such educational and fruitous programs.
