Since its foundation in 2013, Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Dairy Federation (CSCDF), Charoda is one of the largest Cooperative Dairy Federation in Chhattisgarh, owned and managed by milk producers of Chhattisgarh State. It is the testimony of modernization of animal husbandry and rearing adopted by millions of farmers across Chhattisgarh. To educate the students about the latest and most innovative tools employed by CSCDF, Christian College of Engineering and Technology (CCET), Bhilai organized a two day industrial tour. Students of 3rd semester from Mechanical Engineering Dept. under the tutelage of their HOD, Dr Jayakumar Jayaraman learned about many career opportunities offered by CSCDF. Mr P Kumar, Shift Incharge, CSCDF showed how various technologies work in pasteurization, refrigeration and packaging machineries to the students. He said that CSCDF also caters to the public via Devbhog milk products. In addition to plant visit, he also discussed various ideas for the final year project with the students. The students were accompanied by assistant professors form Mechanical Engineering Dept., Mr. Amit Singh Dhakad, Mr. Abhijit Kuthe, Mr. Felix Paul Soju. The students of Mechanical Engineering dept. were grateful to the CSCDF, Charoda and CCET management including Executive Vice Chairman, Fr. Jose k Varghese and the Principal, Dr Dipali Soren, Dr Jayakumar Jayaraman, HOD of Mechanical dept and faculty co-coordinators for organizing and making the trip memorable. The EVC, Fr Jose K Varghese and Principal, Dr Dipali Soren extended their well wishes to the students and conveyed their support for any such future endeavors.
