M.TECH 1ST YEAR ORIENTATION PROGRAM HELD IN CCET BHILAI

Orientation program for M.Tech 1st Semester students of CAD/CAM Robotics (under the dept. of Mechanical Engineering) and Nanotechnology (under the dept. of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering) courses was held in the Seminar Hall of CCET Bhilai. The program was presided over by the Executive Vice Chairman of CCET, Fr Jose K Varghese in the presence Dr Dipali Soren, Principal CCET, Dr Sandhya Pillai, Coordinator of Nanotechnology, Mr Ankur Malviya, Coordinator of CAD/CAM, heads of all departments, faculties and students. Dr Sandhya Pillai conducted the proceedings and initiated the program by welcoming the guests, staff members and MTech students. She gave a brief introduction about the importance of Nanotechnology in the present scenario and its scope for the future. Mr Ankur Malviya, Coordinator of MTech CAD/CAM Robotics gave detailed information about the importance of the CAD/CAM in industries, and its applications in the field of upcoming automation technologies. Dr Dipali Soren, Principal, CCET, Bhilai whole heartedly welcomed the new aspirants into CCET family. She said that this kind of courses increases the employability of students as it sets one apart from the crowd. She said that Nanotechnology is quintessential in the field of medicine, robotics, aerospace, communication, agriculture, cosmetics and biomaterials. Fr Jose K Varghese in his inspiring speech motivated the students by pointing out the scope of these advanced courses. He said that such specializations are shaping the future technologies and they can very well be the foundation on which future age will be built. He congratulated the students and wished them well for their future. Dr Mrinal Kanti Manik, HOD of Mechanical Engineering Department and Dr Mina Mishra, HOD Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering welcomed the students in the department and explained the job opportunities of these courses. The program was concluded by vote of thanks proposed by Dr Sandhya Pillai.
