One Day seminar on Android OS and Payment Gateway Integration

To motivate and explore the world of android applications and e-commerce, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Christian College of Engineering and Technology (CCET), Bhilai organized a one day seminar on Android OS-Payment Gateway Integration for students of Computer Science Engineering dept. The aim of this seminar was to provide fundamentals of android applications development from theoretical as well as practical domain. The invited expert for this program was Mr. Kailash Kumar Patel, Senior Software Developer, ONET INFOTECH. In this seminar the students learned about android applications and its integration with payment gateways. In this the expert explored the Android OS is an open source operating system primarily used in mobile devices. He said that any kind of smart phone requires OS as an interface and android is the most popular OS today. He told that every brand is rushing ahead at breakneck speed to build their apps on the Android OS, and that trend has opened up enormous job opportunities in the Android domain. While talking about payment gateway, he said that it is a merchant service provided by an e-commerce application service provider that authorizes credit card or direct payments processing for e-businesses, on-line retailers, bricks and clicks, or traditional brick and mortar. It may be provided by a bank to its customers, but can be provided by a specialized financial service provider as a separate service, such as a payment service provider.
