Christian College of engineering and Technology (CCET), Bhilai has been a hotbed of ethical and technological advancement for students of Chhattisgarh since 1998. It has provided a battery of highly qualified and ethically sound engineers, who have toiled relentlessly for growth of the state and the nation. One such star who has led the kindly light of knowledge, equipped with his fierce determination and a sense of service is Shubham Dixena of 7th Semester, Computer Science Engineering Dept of CCET, Bhilai. He has won international acclaim for his unyielding effort for eradication of fake news encroached over social media, which is responsible for deterioration of moral fabric of the society. He will be awarded Hanyang Change maker award at a global event in Manila, the capital city of Philippines. This program will be held from 9th January to 20th January, 2018 to provide a platform to all the selected leaders of various countries to work for sustainable development goals. The whole program is financed and organized by Hanyang University of South Korea. The Hanyang Change maker award is given to youths working for social change. They are selected by submission of projects to Hanyang University. The selected candidates are also invited to participate in social venture forum held at South Korea. Subham takes motivation from his father Mr Narendra Dixena, who is currently a government servant and was born in dudga village. Time and again Shubham has fought through depression due to negative conditions, yet his tireless effort has led to selection in Asia Pacific Youth Exchange program in Thailand. This program was held in United Nations headquarters at Thailand where he worked in the field of education and made a project named learn extra, which is being employed in schools of Nong Saray region of Thailand. His organization named Youth Rising Foundation is making positive inroads in Indian youth. Shubham has been awarded certificate in digital marketing from Google, Microsoft and Hubspot Academy together with being a student partner in Internshala and Young India Fellowship. From very young age Shubnam has been motivated to work for youth and has pledged to make positive changes in Indian education system. The Executive Vice Chairman of CCET, Fr Jose K Varghese and the Principal, Dr Dipali Soren together with the management, faculties and students congratulated Shubham on his achievements and wished him well for his future endeavors.
