The R & D cell of CCET aims at creating a conducive atmosphere for research work in the campus thereby elevating the standards and quality of our institution.

The R& D team works as facilitators in obtaining research grants from external funding agencies for projects, seminars, workshops etc and also provide all help in the successful execution of these activities. We also extend help to the interested researchers in identifying the key funding institutions pertaining to their field and in the preparation of project proposals.

A BIRD’S EYE VIEW OF ACTIVITIES OF R & D CELL OF CCET

  • CCET has received grants to the tune of Rs. 3,00,000/ from Chhattisgarh Council of Science & Technology (CGCOST) in organizing various Seminars and Workshops.
  • CGCOST has selected CCET as a member of its Coordination Cell. Rs. 50,000/- is granted every year to conduct activities like debate, essay, quiz competitions for popularization of science in the school and college level.
  • CCET also receives grant of Rs.50,000/- from CGCOST in organizing various activities on the occasion of National Science Day every year.
  • On the occasion of National Science Day celebrations 2016, R& D Cell organized a two days training program on MS Office Package for school students on 28th& 29th January 2016. Around 130 students of class 11th and 12th from nearby 5 government schools participated in the program.
  • This training program was aimed at providing comprehensive hands on training on MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. Besides providing training on the use of these tools, practice exercises were given, so as to equip the students to use these tools independently. Handouts containing different instructions and usage tips were also provided to each student.
  • The theme of this year’s Science Day celebrations was “Make In India: Science & Technology Driven Innovations” and financial assistance for sponsorship (Rs. 50,000/-) was received from CCOST and NCSTC, Dept. of Science & Technology, GOI.
  • An inter branch Debate Competition for college students, on the topic “Make In India Is The Only Way India Can Become A World Leader” was organized by the Literary Club of CCET  in Coordination with the R& D Cell on 16th March 2016 as a part of Science Day Celebrations.
  • An inter branch Quiz competition was organized on 29th and 30th March 2016 by the Mechanical Engineering Association of CCET, in Coordination with the R& D Cell  again as a part of Science Day Celebrations
  • ‘Technologia 2016’, a National Conference was organized by the R& D Cell on 10th and 11th Feb 2016. The theme of Technologia was “Future Clean and Sustainable Energy Technologies” and the conference was sponsored by CCOST.
  • First issue of CCET Research Journal (JSEE) was released during the inaugural ceremony of Technologia-2016. Online ISSN no. (2455-5061) and ISSN Registration Certificate has been obtained. Print ISSN no. to be obtained in a couple of months.
  • Central Robotics lab under the R&D Cell organized a one day Workshop on Robotics on 29th March 2016. This was organized as a part of the Coordination Cell activity of CCOST in CCET for which financial assistance was received from CCOST.
  • Central Robotics Lab in coordination with the R&D Cell organized Hands On Workshop on Robotics for 1st , 3rd and 5th semester students during the odd semester.
