The 20th Orientation Ceremony of Christian College of engineering and Technology (CCET), Bhilai was held at college auditorium on 2nd of August, 2017. The program started with lighting of lamp ceremony in the presence of H G Bishop Dr Joseph mar Dionysius, Chairman, CCET, Fr Jose K Varghese, EVC, Fr Aju K Varghese, Bursar, Dr Dipali Soren, Principal, Dr Bindu Jacob, First Year In charge, HODs of Various engineering Depts., faculties, technical staff, students and parents. The Principal of CCET, Dr Dipali Soren welcomed the first year students into the folds of CCET family. She educated the gathering about various UG and PG courses as well as skill development programs offered at CCET and urged them to utilize all its resources and modern amenities to its fullest. She encouraged them to work hard to excel in life and also to take responsibility for their actions and practice self discipline. The Chairman of CCET, H G Bishop Dr Joseph Mar Dionysius shared his words of wisdom from his vivid life experiences. He said that in this modern world truth is not easily discernible from lies, so one must form experience before labeling anything good or bad. He advised the young minds, who are taking their first step towards technical excellence, to put forward determined and committed effort for success in life. He said that proper planning and pro-activeness is the key to tackle challenges. He welcomed the gathering into the folds of CCET family and asked them to fulfill their roles in life with sincerity. The Executive Vice Chairman, Fr Jose k Varghese in his address praised the will and passion of every student to become a high skilled engineer. He said that to achieve ones goal, one must have this three qualities, they are perseverance to overcome dire challenges, self-confidence in one’s ability to succeed and continuous hard work with tremendous focus. Thereafter interactive presentations were given by Dr Bindu Jacob, First Year In-charge, Dr M K Manik, HOD of Mechanical Engineering Dept, Dr Mukesh Kumawat, HOD of Electrical Eng Dept, Dr Mina Mishra of Electronics and Telecommunication Dept and Dr Sitendra Tamrakar of Computer Science Dept to educate the students and wards about engineering courses. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Anil Choubey, Asst Prof, Science & Humanities (Physics) Dept. The anchor of this event was Mrs Reny Thomas, Asst Prof, Science & Humanities (English) Dept.
